Why Juice with Juice 2U?
All of our ingredients are 100% organic.
All of our juices are cold-pressed – this means that several thousand pounds of hydraulic pressure are carefully applied to the organic fruits and vegetables without heating. This is done to capture every bit of the micronutrients and phytonutrients available in the organic foods. This process is superior to other processes on the market that will heat up the fruits and vegetables during the extraction process thereby diminishing or eliminating the nutrients.
All of our juices are non- HPP – this means that the juices are bottled without “high pressure processing”. Many of the juices on the market and sold in stores use HPP which is a cold-pasteurization process that extends the shelf life of a product. This process of extending the life of these juices decreases the nutrient value. This is a process that has been used to preserve packaged foods for a long time…This is why we believe that non- HPP is the best way to deliver all the available nutrients to you in our organic cold-pressed juices.
All of our 100% organic fruit and vegetable juices are bottled in GLASS bottles, no harsh chemicals from plastics.
All of our snacks and meals are packaged in eco-friendly nontoxic containers.
Never any additives or chemicals added to our juices- purely the most natural extraction of nutrients with nothing added.
Raw juice has never been heated. Heating fruits and veggies will decrease or eliminate the micronutrients that are so richly available in their original raw form. We believe that we should provide you with the raw organic form to maximize the body’s utilization of the micronutrients.
Organically grown food contains more micronutrients (see below) than foods grown with harsh chemicals. There are more than 600 active chemicals registered for agricultural use in America. This can work out to about 16 pounds of chemical pesticides per person annually. Organically grown foods utilize methods that manage and nourish the soil to maximize the nutrients and prevent us from eating the harsh chemicals that can damage our bodies. The National Academy of Sciences reports that 90% of the chemicals used on our foods have not been tested for long-term health effects prior to being considered “safe”.
Why are Micro Mutrients and Phytonutrients Important?
Vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals from plants, are the micronutrients that our bodies need to help extend and improve our health and well-being.
According to the Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, these nutrients can assist with our health in many ways, some are listed below:
Serve as antioxidants.
Enhance immune response.
Enhance cell-to-cell communication.
Alter estrogen metabolism.
Convert to Vitamin A (beta-carotene is metabolized to vitamin A).
Cause cancer cells to die (apoptosis).
Repair DNA damage caused by smoking and other toxic exposures.
Detoxify carcinogens through the activation of the cytocrome P450 and Phase II enzyme systems.
These nutrients are an essential part of our diet to help us fight inflammation, disease, and to maximize longevity and quality of life. Micronutrients can function as antioxidants. Our bodies can “rust” or oxidize at the cellular level over time with age. Antioxidants slow or retard that oxidation. Antioxidants are directly related to preventing cellular damage. Cellular damage can lead to disease or a variety of symptoms.
Free radicals are technically defined as atoms or groups of atoms with an unpaired number of electrons. These radicals can start a chain reaction of attacking important macromolecules and can cause damage when they react with cellular components such as DNA. When this happens, cells may die or not function properly causing a variety of symptoms or disease. Our bodies mechanism to prevent free radical damage is a defense system called antioxidants. Some examples of free radicals may be: poor diet, stress, cigarette smoke, radiation, herbicides, pesticides, gas fumes, toxic chemicals, stress, drugs, inflammation, and exposure to sunlight and air pollutants.
Antioxidants are molecules that can safely interact with free radicals and terminate the chain reaction prior to vital molecules being damaged. We might think of these antioxidants as the “soldiers” guarding our cells and protecting our DNA. The more antioxidants that we have at our disposal, the more powerful our “soldiers” can be to protect us.
One of the best ways to keep our “soldiers” strong is to eat and drink foods that are high in antioxidants. As we have already learned, organic foods are the best source of these micronutrients. So eating a variety of SuperFoods that are high in antioxidants like organic fruits and veggies is a great way to keep our “soldiers” strong.
So JUICE ON and try some of our wonderfully tasting organic juices and treats!.
